on the blessing of community

"There is no use trying," said Alice. "One can't believe impossible things."

"I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast."

-Alice in Wonderland

Yoga by the mailboxes with Adriana and Tonda, followed by jumping on the couches and throwing pillows, makes me feel like I can believe the impossible. Even if Etienne does laugh at us.

Every moment that I pay attention I am struck by the absurdity and seeming impossibility of everything.

Last time I heard, you were talking like you were going home for Spring Break. I'm planning on spending some, if not most, of the week at Renaissance House. If you're going to be around some, give me a call; I take it you have my number in the directory. Or email me @ micahbales [at] gmail [dot] com.

In any case, we should hang out at some point in some context other than post-worship coffee.

Blog comments are not necessarily the best place to hit on people. (Tonda, you should take note as well!)

Feel free to look me up any time, Mr. Miro. *wink* You're one cute cartoon - and witty, too.

I guess that's better than people calling me creepy...
although honestly, calling me "one cute cartoon character" is itself a little creepy.
"The absurdity and seeming impossibility of everything" indeed!

Umm... Miro, I think Victor was calling Patty creepy, not you...

Maybe it's a gender thing, but you guys aren't doing it for me like Tonda and Adriana did.

Micah, I'm in New York until Friday, and then hopefully working Saturday, so while we should hang out sometime other than post-worship coffee... probably planning to talk about that after worship on Sunday would be easiest.

Splaestro: I know Patty was the reference, but you can't deny that I'm also at least a potentially creepy cartoon character.
Julie: sorry about the direction this has taken, but who could compete with Adriana and Tonda doing yoga?
