I'm not a militant, but...

Some friends and I were talking, Friday afternoon, about young women who will say "I'm not a feminist, but..." and proceed to make feminist points.

The only relation between that conversation and the following link is that they both appear in this blog post:

Swiss Accidentally Invade Liechtenstein

What began as a routine training exercise almost ended in an embarrassing diplomatic incident after a company of Swiss soldiers got lost at night and marched into neighboring Liechtenstein.

According to Swiss daily Blick, the 170 infantry soldiers wandered just over a mile across an unmarked border into the tiny principality early Thursday before realizing their mistake and turning back.

A spokesman for the Swiss army confirmed the story but said that there were unlikely to be any serious repercussions for the mistaken invasion.

''We've spoken to the authorities in Liechtenstein and it's not a problem,'' Daniel Reist told The Associated Press.

Link. Made my day.

"...but I play one on TV"??? Maybe not.

And obviously, Liechtenstein needs to erect a border fence to keep those nasty Swiss out-- theirs would be a darn site cheaper than Dubya's...

And finally, have you seen how Hisrich slammed you? Or is there something more to his gratuitous comment that I don't get?

Hisrich is just upset because I'm a better man than he is, even without being part of the Iron John reading group.

First off, anyone not in the Iron John reading group is likely a better man than any of those in it. Second, note how by responding with this comment Julie is attempting to divert attention away from her 1) enthusiasm over finding out that there was money available in a urinal, and 2) expressed lament that her gender potentially stood in the way of her obtaining that money.

Thought you Quakers had a testimony of equality, Matt. All I want is an equal shot at snagging a quarter out of a urinal.

Once again, white men are blind to the patriarchy. I think that is worthy of lament.

Don't blame patriarchy for your lack of initiative. As I recall, you had two males at your disposal who were ready and willing to assist your coin-snatching designs. Opportunity may only knock once, however. Carpe stipis!
